~The Week in Review~

On Saturday, I had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem for the UNH Wildcats Mens' Basketball game against Dartmouth. Especially as a history major, this song means so much to me. Thinking of Fort McHenry and my privateers.

This is one of my favorite days year after year! We had a blast volunteering this afternoon at the Salvation Army Toy Shop! Thank you to all of the volunteers who are committed to "making it happen!"

Thank you to Holly for this picture!

We are so lucky to live in the state with the first primary! Today, I asked Dr. Carson what he would do to fund public higher education. ‪#‎mnh‬ ‪#‎service‬‪#‎missportsmoutharea‬

As always, here is something for the good of the squad.
Just please be smart about it.

What an amazing weekend. On Saturday, I had the pleasure of being the Social Media Director for the annual Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Concord Holiday Auction, at my home Boys and Girls Club. $128,000 and 12 hours later, we want to thank everyone who made yesterday possible. From the bottom of our hearts, we are thankful and blessed to have such an incredible support system. Thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers, Concord TV, and generous donors.Your generosity is going to change the lives of thousands of children across New Hampshire. You can still donate to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Concord by clicking the link below the picture.

On Sunday Afternoon, we packed up our CRV and went to Vermont for a fabulous family Christmas! Not only did I loved eating for two straight hours, but I loved spending time with my family!

Last night, the Christensen Hall Council made about 50 cards to send tomorrow to a little girl whose family recently died in a fire. Thank you to my residents who continuously remind me that there is so much good in this world. You too can find out how to send cards to Safyre, who lives in Upstate New York and asked for Christmas cards from around the world for Christmas this year. Please click on the "Send Cards to Safyre" link below the picture.

Finally, I want to send some love to all of those First Year students who are loving their first final exam experiences.
Okay, really. I should be studying, too.
Thanks, Ryan.

~The Month in Review~

How is it almost December?

It seems as though November just flew by.

In the beginning of November, members of our staff attended RLAGS, a conference for student affairs professionals working in New Hampshire. It was wonderful to learn tips and tricks on how to create inclusive communities from different people around the state. I must say, my favorite presentation was given by none other than Miss Greater Derry, Stephanie Iacuzio! Stephanie presented on the importance of personal safety on college campuses. I am also so proud of our UNH team, who placed first in the Case Study Competition!

What a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season! I had a blast volunteering Friday night at the Urban Forestry Center's Festival of Trees. Proceeds go to scholarships for students at the Thompson School and other organizations. ‪#‎MNH‬ ‪#‎Portsmouthliving‬

Now, on to graduate school applications. Two down, two to go!

Good luck to all you high school and college seniors out there.

We had a fabulous time at #HowellfortheAnimals to benefit the#cochecoanimalshelter! Thankful to have an army of volunteers from our Hall Council who are willing to volunteer at events around the state! #hallcouncil#xsenpride #unh #MNH #lovemyjob

On a different note, it is that time of year for College Seniors to be taking the dreaded GRE. I just took it yesterday. Luckily, I studied. I would like to give a shoutout to the websites and fabulous people that got me to where I am today (cheesy, but you know it is true).

1. Shoutout to the Princeton Review. You were always there when I needed you most. And, you were free. Princeton Review GRE

2. Shoutout to the GRE Flash Cards HD app. Your vocabulary words actually showed up on my test, and your sense of humor (some puns are thrown into the definitions!) kept me going. GRE Flash Cards HD

3. Shoutout to my RA's (especially Dee), residents, friends, and family. Thank you for keeping me ready to rock in roll.

When in doubt... JUST DO IT.

We had a blast volunteering at the ‪#‎tangerfitforacure‬ road race on Sunday! ‪#‎MNH‬ ‪#‎lrghealthcare‬ Congratulations to all of the runners!

Also, here is a little bit of helpful information! Are you a student at UNH? Did you know that we have many scholarships available that not many people take advantage of? Well here ya go!
All of the listed scholarships are for undergraduate students.

Not a UNH Student? Or are you a High School Senior? No worries! Check out these awesome sites with many scholarships available for students in New Hampshire. Most of these scholarships will pay for 2016-2017 tuition.

Here is something to brighten your day.
