The Week in Review

Today's world connects on social media sites. LinkedIn is an AMAZING tool for anyone to network in their career field!

Here is an article on seven different ways students can benefit from a LinkedIn account.

On Thursday, our Scott Hall RA team moved out of UNH. It is bittersweet to leave my home for the past three years!

Yesterday, Shawna Gile, Miss Manchester's Outstanding Teen, went to prom! I loved the opportunity to get my little ready for the big dance. She looked gorgeous (as she always does)!

Today, Miss New Hampshire titleholders volunteered at a car show to benefit Easter Seals NH. Thanks to Paul's Care Care in Manchester for holding the fourth annual car show!

To the women in the Miss New Hampshire Class of 2015 and Megan Cooley: Thank you for your love and companionship.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful life with me.

Today, I have so much to be thankful for.

I am incredibly humbled by the amount of support and love from my family, friends, and supporters over the past few months. To see my family and friends in the audience from the stage last night is a sight that I will never forget. I genuinely appreciate and love each and every one of you. To my parents: thank you for being my parents. You raised me with all the love in the world. To my family that came last night: thank you for always being there for me. You exemplify what family is all about. Thank you for traveling to Derry last night. I am so lucky to have a family that is also my group of best friends! To my friends that came last night: wow. Just wow. Thank you for your daily texts, hugs, and constant love. Thank you for sharing this absolutely beautiful life with me. To my directors: thank you for believing in me. Your constant support has held me together. To the Miss New Hampshire board and volunteers: thank you for all that you do. I am inspired by your generosity and genuine love for each and every one of us.
Thank you to my Miss New Hampshire Sisters. You are the reason I love this program so much. Thank you for being women who empower each other.
Thank you to Megan Cooley, who served an amazing year as Miss New Hampshire. You are one incredible woman, and I cannot wait to make ALL of the cookies next year with you! You shined last night!

Wow. Just wow. I have so much to be thankful for. I am grateful for each loving and supportive text that my friends and family sent me throughout the show. I am grateful for the princess' enthusiasm after each talent. I am thankful for the opportunity to see my family tomorrow, including my cousins from Vermont, my great-grandparents, and some of my friends from Vermont, too. I am thankful for all of the crew that puts on a magnificent show each and every night. I am amazed by the dedication of the Heidis in making us look confident and beautiful in our dance numbers. I am thankful for my directors, whose support is simply inspiring. I am thankful to the Board of Directors for empowering us. I am grateful for the judges, who give so much to this organization. There is an incredible amount of people involved with the Miss New Hampshire Organization, and even more behind every contestant. Thank you. We are the women we are today because of you.

Holy frijoles. Tonight, I am so proud of Jessica Avelar and Alainna Belanger, who won tonight's preliminary awards. Jessica, who won the Swimsuit Award, is a strong woman physically, but also a strong woman mentally. Congratulations on a well deserved win! Alainna, who won the Talent Award, is one of the nicest people I have met. She is so beautiful inside and out.

Each of the preliminary award winners are the epitome of what this organization is about. Holly and Jessica are both beautiful and strong... inside and out. Linda and Alainna are both genuine and passionate. I am so proud of you. Congratulations, ladies!
